YOUR BUSINESS COMMUNICATION CHALLENGE

Final review and workplace project

A fictional customer workshop

You coordinate a one-day workshop for a new customer. The customer asks for a price, a schedule and a short explanation of the benefits. One delivery may be late.

  1. Write a 100-word proposal email stating the purpose, scope, an invented price and a clear next step.
  2. Hold a two-minute meeting: ask a question, suggest a solution, clarify the delivery risk and agree an action with an owner and deadline.
  3. Give a one-minute progress update and write a four-line follow-up email.

Review, revise and try again

Ask a teacher or partner to review: task completion, clarity, appropriate tone, language accuracy and confirmed details. Score each 0–4: 0 = not yet, 1 = substantial help, 2 = some help, 3 = mostly independent, 4 = independent and clear. A total of 15/20 can be a practice goal. This rubric is not a certified proficiency assessment.
