Review with a teacher or partner

Task completion, clarity, grammar and vocabulary: 0–5 each. A quiz score is a practice result, not a certified proficiency level.

PRACTICE FOR EVERY BACKGROUND

Make English your own.

Start with clear communication. An accent is part of your voice; being understood is the goal. Try the sound contrasts that help you personally, and ask a partner which words need another attempt.

Speaking confidence
Listen to “right / light” and “rice / lice.” Notice the tongue position. Choose a useful phrase and say it slowly, then naturally.

Word endings
Compare “work / worked” and “desk / desks.” Keep the final sounds. Tap once for each syllable you hear.

Communication repair
“Could you say that again?” “Do you mean Tuesday?” “Let me check I understand.”

Local learning
Use your own city, foods and study routines. Explain an unfamiliar idea instead of assuming everyone shares the same background.

Optional language help

中文:先读例句,再听并跟读。每次练习十五到二十分钟。
日本語:例文を読み、音声を聞いて、声に出して練習しましょう。一回十五分から二十分が目安です。

The lessons and feedback are in simple English. These brief study tips are optional; this edition is not a fully translated Chinese or Japanese course.
